Five layer UFH barrier pipe

This type also has 5 layers with an inner and outer layer of Polyethylene – we use PE-Xb and PE-RT. Instead of an aluminium oxygen barrier, there is a layer of EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) which also prevents oxygen from passing into the water. To make up the 5 layers, an additional layer of adhesive is used on both sides of the EVOH layer to ensure all layers are stable when being formed during installation. This type of pipe is more elastic than the MLCP type and needs more securing as it will spring back after being bent unlike MLCP. The PE-Xb pipe has  a temperature rating higher than MLCP, but a lower pressure rating of 6 bar which is suitable for heating applications in domestic and some light commercial applications.
